There’s this huge media frenzy right now over the fact that Katharine McPhee is engaged. I reported this back in SEPTEMBER!!!! Yeah, I know it was not confirmed 100% back then but still, we had an idea that it was true, right? Anyway, here’s a video about it (forgive the stupid Geico commercial at the beginning).

Does anyone really care about this?! She is really not that talented and not worth the news, in my opinion.

If you really don’t care about her and think she is not newsworthy, they why are you following her all over the internet and posting spiteful little comments about her?

Getting back on the subject: No, it was not confirmed at that time, and no, it STILL hasn’t been officially confirmed. Kat, Nick, and Kat’s people have had no comment on the engagement rumor to my knowledge. I’m confused as to why it’s resurfaced, although it could well be true.
If it’s true, then so be it. I don’t know her or him personally, but she appears to be quite talented as far as I am concerned, and certainly the most gorgeous girl to grace the AI stage!!!! Hope things work out for her.
Carrie gets second place on this one, and she is darn pretty.
Well, I thought the topic was not Kathrine at all but why is this suddenly news when we knew it for quite a while.
I guess it is a slow news day, not enough DUIs or what ever or… it is a promotional placement and Kathrine has something new about to emerge on the public. Sometimes PR places little innoffensive news stories to generate more interest about a client. There is nothing bad about the People story, Kat is making an interesting choice at this time in her career, but people do have lives that don’t stop when we are not watching them on TV and they can’t program themselves to limit themselves to their career.
What I find far more interesting is the working together on so many projects part. I wonder if she is just helping someone she loves, as we all would do, or if her fiance might be riding her coattails a little bit. Would he be doing these things if not for Kat and her exposure? We have no way of knowing and guessing is probably rude, so that should be enough from me.
with rumors circulating and no response it might damage a career that had so much promise?

If you wonder why I make comments about Katherine, I guess I am still amazed people find her so talented. I just don’t, sorry. As a music major myself, I am just not that impressed with her voice. I think she has an ok voice and I guess she is probably a nice person, I just don’t see the talent others see. As an artist, I just don’t find her that news worthy.
And to correct you, there have been only two sites where I have shared my opinion regarding Katherine McPhee. Two sites does not constitute “all over the internet”.
That is no reason for you to post such ill responses to me. Adults would respect each other’s opinion and just agree to disagree.

I don’t think it is doom and gloom. They are not saying she is a horrible person or got a DUI or ran over a papparazzi, she got engaged, this is usually good publicity.
Katharine McPhee’s popularity was her because she was a runnerup on American Idol who preached she wanted to be a role model for young girls, who became a wet dream to every male in America.Marriage to a 42yr old balding, unemployed actor will destroy her role model image and her image to men from her magazine covers(stuff mag)and if Mcphee was on the stock market her shares just dropped from $1000 a share o $1 a share.It takes fans to buy her music, it takes fans to buy movie tickets and all she will have left is those who approve of Cokas.
phenobarbitol for your information I am not an old hag.I am a 27 yr old mom of a daughter whom I have once said I hoped she would be like Katharine McPhee when she was on American Idol.But pray tell I wouldn’t want my daughter marrying a man almost twice her age.Her single going gold and her mild success thus far is before the bombshell announcement of marriage and the reports she is pregnant and the reports that Cokas sweettalked her so that his fledgling film company would use Katharine.But again her future success will be based on how the public percieves her?If Katharine is happy then I guess we should’nt have say? Being that in earlier previous interviews she stated she wasn’t interested in marriage and children till she fulfillled her career , just maybe she lied? Or does she think her career is a success? Time will tell and the public will answer all of this.I hope my thoughts are wrong and that you are right as I thought she did have a great future ahead but have my doubts now.

I completely agree with you! After saying she wanted to be a role model, Kat proceeded to go the old way of using sex to attract attention to herself. How sad. I still don’t feel she is that talented at all.
