This is all getting confusing considering there are still no photos to be seen anywhere, but according to People.com, Brad Pitt arrived solo in France over the weekend and was seen at the Hotel du Cap, having lunch.
However, the article does mention that Angelina Jolie is expected to join Brad before the red carpet. They had previously posted that Angelina was very likely to be able to get some time off from filming Salt.
Both AFP and People are very reliable news sources, so I think that the earlier story about both of them arriving was an honest mistake.
I can’t wait for Angelina to arrive in France. I’m wondering what she’ll wear on the red carpet this time. I’m still dying to see her in a red gown – not a bright red, a dark jewel-tone red. Regardless, whatever she wears, we all know she’ll look gorgeous even if we don’t care for the dress at all!
In related news, Brad Pitt will have a segment on the Today Show this week, either Tuesday or Wednesday, so I’ll keep you posted about that as well.

i think brad and angie are in some ways lucky with their careers. they can have long months off, even a year. i think the public has a general misperception that the more popular actors work non-stop because they come out with films one after the other. some films get made in 3 months, and the actors can rest for the next 6 months till their next project arrives. so, really, they can still be there for their children. angie hasn’t worked in a while. she and brad met their job obligations by promoting their films and attending the shows, but they’re always home to their kids in a zippy. Their arrangement works for their family. It may not sit well with the rest, but then, not all of us have the same values and views.

i meant to say angie hadn’t shot a film in a long while, until salt came along. otherwise, the last movie she actually filmed was changeling, and that was over a year ago.

Sherry and Neela- I completely agree with both of you! Sherry, there does indeed seem to be a double-standard with Angie and Brad vs. other celebs.
I HAVE occasionally heard other celebs criticized for not staying home with their kids (for example, I visit celebrity-baby blog as often as I vist Pittwatch. After Nicole Kidman had Sunday last year and procedeed to go back to work with in a month or so of the birth, people were saying things like “If she wanted Sunday so badly, why is she back at work already?”).
However, it DOES seem to Angie and Brad who are criticized the most about that. In fact, I’ve noticed that the h8ters can’t even seem to agree on just what they should do in terms of the kids. By that I mean that the h8ters complain when Angie and Brad aren’t with their kids…But then they also complain about Angie and Brad “dragging” the kids all over the world.
