17-year-old mohawked rapper Lil Twist is a member of Lil Wayne’s Young Money label, which has a talented roster of artists including the hottest rapper of the moment, Drake. He’s also best friends with Justin Bieber. Not a bad crowd to run with if you’re heading toward stardom.
Twist is currently working on his debut album, tentatively titled, Don’t Get It Twisted, featuring collaborations from Young Money’s Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Drake, as well as Justin and Sean Kingston, who has been touring with Justin this summer. Twist took a moment off from recording to answer our Crushable Questionnaire.
1. What’s your backstory?
My name is Lil Twist, I’m 17 years old, I’m from Dallas, TX and I am a Young Money artist.
2. Everyone has a “thing”. What’s yours?
I would have to say my “thing” is my swag/my image. I like to think that I’m unique. No one else in the entertainment industry looks like me or sounds like me.
3. Everyone also has a karaoke song. Name yours (and don’t be shy).
Lol. If I did karaoke I would sing Vanessa Carlton’s song “A Thousand Miles.” I would really have fun with that song.
4. Who are your biggest influences?
I have a lot of artists who I look up to and admire, but the ones who I would have to say influence me are Andre 3000, because he’s so unique and he’s fearless when it comes to his music and image, and that reminds me of me. I would also have to say my brother Lil Wayne because he doesn’t put his music in a box, he just records whatever he feels, however it comes out and that’s also very inspiring to just be a free artist like that.
5. What is it you most dislike?
The one thing I would have to say that really gets under my skin is liars. I hate it when people lie to me. Especially little white unnecessary lies.
6. Whose job would you like to steal?
Nobody’s, lol. I love my job and what I do. I love talking to my fans and making music and living my dream. My life is very spontaneous at times and I love it.
7. What was your best date?
I’ve never been on a good date. I really don’t date a lot and the few times that I’ve been on dates it’s really like chilling and hanging out, nothing too special. So to all my female fans you still have a chance to be my first great date :)
8. What was your worst?
I hope I don’t get in trouble for this, but one time I took a young lady with me to an award show, out to eat and a party afterwards. She had a great time but I don’t really think she appreciated it or me for that matter so I guess you can say I felt used.
9. When I wake up in the middle of the night its because I’ve had a nightmare that I’m…
Falling. I heard it’s always best to wake up before you hit the ground lol.
10. I feel my best when I’m wearing….
I feel my best when I’m wearing some pajama pants or some basketball shorts, something comfortable. Most of the time when I’m working in the studio or traveling I’m wearing one of those two items.
11. Please settle the debate: New York or LA?
That’s a very easy debate: I’m going to have to say LA. I love New York, too, but the weather is always beautiful in LA and I don’t feel as congested in LA as I do in NY sometimes.
12. What’s on your playlist at this very moment?
Right now I’m listening to one of my good friend’s music. He’s also an artist on Island Def Jam and his name is Khalil. And I also listen to a lot of Nick Jonas.
13. What are you watching on TV?
Cartoon Network, I love watching cartoons. I think I’ll always watch cartoons no matter how old I am.
14. If you alone held the power to pick a boyfriend for Jennifer Aniston, who would you pick?
If I had the power to pick a boyfriend for Jennifer Aniston, you would see her and Lil Twist on the cover of the tabloids…lol.
15. Given the chance, would you rather hang out with George Clooney or Robert Downey Jr?
Robert Downey Jr, I think he is so cool I’m sure we would have a great time hanging out.
16. If you were a character on any movie or TV show, past or present, who would you be?
Jimmy Neutron, he’s always into something and doing something that gets him into trouble, BUT he always manages to get himself out. Gotta love him
17. What is your “drug” of choice?
Music. Music is apart of my life every single day.
18. What’s the last thing you think about before falling asleep at night?
I just sit and think about life, my life, my future, my fans, my mom and at the end of it all…I’m excited. Young Money.

So this is Lil Twist Life . I like it . He is could of just like me , we both like music (can’t live without music), also thinking about our future our lives , both love cartoons. He seems like a very grounded young artists , mostly you would find young kids acting all crazy and taking advantage but it seems like he doesn’t do that . I can’t wait till his album drop .
