A major overnight development has taken place in terms of the custody agreement concerning the three children of the late pop star, Michael Jackson. As the Today show reported, Jackson’s mother, Katherine, has been given custody but Debbie Rowe, the birth mother of the two oldest kids, Prince Michael I and Paris, has been granted visitation rights. A child psychologist will be involved. No details about the mother of Jackson’s youngest son, Prince Michael II (a.k.a. Blanket) have emerged.
This is what I think should happen so I’m glad. I feel a little sorry that Blanket doesn’t have a mother in his life but sometimes kids are better off without knowing their birth parents so maybe that’s the case here. I hope that Rowe and the older kids can develop a relationship and I hope that she’s able to answer any of their questions about why she chose to have them and then walk away.
