Set in South Carolina in 1964, the plot centers on Lily Owens (Fanning), who escapes her lonely life and troubled relationship with her father by running away with her caregiver and only friend (Hudson) to a South Carolina town that holds the secret to her mother’s past.
I can’t believe it! I LOVE this book, this is just great. Dakota will make a good I Lily, I think – she’s a mature actress for her age, and has proved that in a lot of movies so far. This character is deep, but I really think she’ll do a good job with it, and I’m glad. This is such a deep story – I hope the movie will be like the book.
