Tonight Helio Castroneves & Julianne Hough were crowned the champoins of Dancing With the Stars season 5.
Congratulations, Helio & Julianne!
And what a season it’s been. Here’s a quick overview of some of the events of the season that are noteworthy:
- Two of the dancers, Jane Seymour & Marie Osmond lost a parent during the season
- We saw the most shocking elimination ever when Sabrina Bryan was eliminated so early. (I had thought she would win it all…)
- Jennie Garth fell down during her dance
- Jane Seymour missed an episode because of serious food poisoning
- Marie Osmond fainted on live TV
- Marie Osmond’s son went into rehab
- We saw some amazingly great dances and some very surprisingly not-so-great dances
Overall, I fell that this has been the most exciting and unpredictable season yet. So I wonder what they have in store for us in season 6!

I’m so happy they won, they’re fantastic!!!
Congratulations to Helio and Julianne…. They are the best….. During the session, the judges failed to give them the 10’s that they deserved…. The favoritism of another pair was very obvious…. Helio deserved the win – He didn’t have dance experience what-so-ever and he worked deligently to perfect everything that he and Julianne worked on. Greg Choreographer Julianne – good luck next season…..
I’m glad it’s not Mel and Mask who took the trophy home but Helio and Julianne instead. Of course I’d rather have Jane be the winner, but after she got booted and Marie didn’t turn out to be as good as I wanted her to be, it’s better Helio than Mel.
