On May 13th, Danny Strong’s HBO original movie Recount premiered in New York at The Museum of Modern Art. Danny Strong, who played Doyle on Gilmore Girls, was named one of 10 Screenwriters to Watch for the Recount script, Danny’s first screenplay.
The tv movie stars Kevin Spacey, John Hurt, Tom Wiksinson and many others. The movie chronicles the events of the five weeks starting November 7, 2000 during the presedential election between George W. Bush and Al Gore, as well as the December Supreme Court ruling that upheld the vote count and elected Bush to office. The movie got great reviews, so congratulations to Danny!
