David Archuleta Covers “Bubbly” at Pittsburgh Show

The ever adorable, David Archuleta, performed the Colbie Caillat mega-hit, “Bubbly” at his concert in Pittsburgh last night.  Of course, he did a really good job and the crowd went crazy when they realized what he was singing (they also sang along).  I have always wondered if people get annoyed when the audience sings along.

Anyway, the Season 7 American Idol runner-up, seems so much more at ease every time I see him.  It’s hard to believe that he’s the same little awkward kid that was on Idol.  He has such an amazing voice!  He’s also gotten better at putting emotion into these types of romantic, lovey-dovey songs too.

Please don’t define David as “the little awkward Kid.” During the idol competition David was only being the sixteen, seventeen year old that he
was like many other teenagers. So please don’t point out an attribute that
is typical of most teenagers. Also, David has always expressed emotion since
the age of ten. Watch his videos while at the age of ten and you’ll see what I mean. The problem is that whatever source he is currently hooked up with still
has complete control as to what type of music he should be singing which is the
Disney type tween songs. Just give him room to be who he truly is and he will naturally express his emotions to the full. He’s a born natural soulful singer and that’s where he should naturally be.

There are parts in this cover of Bubbly where David’s VOICE IS the MUSIC and it feels like it comes straight from heaven. AAAHHHH!!! You just have to let yourself go to be able to hear it.
