Sampdoria got up early with a 33rd minute goal by Antonio Cassano. After half-time, Giampaolo scored to double Sampdoria’s lead. Pato scored for Milan in the 80th minute, but it wasn’t enough to hedge a comeback.

Here is a video with highlights from the game:

David hasn’t been playing hid best for a few weeks now. He’s been a solid contributor and a great starter, but the uncertainty surrounding his situation is clearly playing a toll on him. He can’t simply concentrate on what’s happening on the field. Since David is due back to the Los Angeles Galaxy on March 8, surely a deal (or no deal) will be hammered out by then.
