David Beckham updated his blog yesterday, writing about how pleased he was with England’s performance in their last two games. The team turned out two solid wins and are shaping up to be a top contender in the 2010 World Cup.

David was also pleased with acquiring his 109th and 110th cap for England.
“It was also an incredibly proud moment for me to become the most capped outfield player,” David wrote. “It’s no secret that I love playing for my country and if the manager thinks I’m good enough then I’ll always answer the call.”
These caps made him the number one all-time outfielder for caps, and puts him in the number two spot of all-time, just behind goalkeeper Peter Shilton. Shilton has 125 caps, but if David keeps it up, he’s sure to surpass that number.
David is now back with Milan. They are playing Lecce on Sunday, and then will turn their efforts toward the League of Champions.
