David Beckham updated his blog the other day, writing about England qualifying for the World Cup. David is as pleased as punch over both the team’s performance and his own.
He was named Man of the Match for the 3-0 win over Belarus, which surprised him greatly:
I was really happy to get on and play a part in the game, but I was really surprised and proud to be named man of the match. Whenever I get my chance I just try to play my best and last night was no different. Playing for England is an absolute honour for me as everyone knows.
Congratulations David! He works very hard and that award is well deserved!
