The new book about David Beckham, Grant Wahl’s The Beckham Experiment, has been causing controversy ever since it was announced. The book makes a lot of claims about David – everything from where Cruz got his name to David’s relationship with the Galaxy – that don’t seem substantiated.
David spoke with Goal.com about the book and says he never once spoke with the author and calls the book “lazy journalism”. He says while he’s not going to read the book, it’s existence doesn’t bother him. It’s part of being David Beckham.
In the second video, David responds to the comments Landon Donovan made in the book about David’s professionalism and commitment to the Galaxy. David promises to be professional at all times and will be speaking with Landon in private to clear the matter up.
David’s attitude towards this book is really refreshing and mature. He seems to understand celebrity and the consequences of it in a way not many stars do.
