David Beckham Continues to Give Back To Young Football Players

David Beckham has come to be known as a great father and also a very giving man. With his David Beckham Academy for Young Football Players everyone jumped on board. Now with his trip to South Africa for the World Cup 2010 Draw representing England he has joined forces with ‘Coaching For Hope’ an initiative that teaches not only football skills but life skills to young players in South Africa.

David Beckham explains that despite these kids having different backgrounds compared to his own they do have one thing in common: football. I can only imagine how happy these kids were when he showed up on the scene yesterday.

Access to sports is limited in some areas of South Africa so this initiative aims to get these kids out and playing the sport they love while at the same time building awareness about AIDS and substance abuse.

“Aids is a very real problem in places like Khaylitsha and football must ensure it does whatever it can to help educate young people of its dangers and make a difference,” Beckham concluded.

It looks like these kids got to kick a few balls around with Mr. Beckham but I’m sure not too many with those white sneaks he was sporting.
