The Los Angeles Galaxy plays Gamba Osaka later this evening and they are expecting this match to be very tough.
“I know how strong Japanese football is and as Gamba Osaka finished third in their league last season we are expecting a very tough game,” David Beckham said to the Galaxy’s official site.
But Gamba is expecting it to be tough too!
“For any player, the chance to play against someone like Beckham is very exciting, and an honor,” their captain, Satoshi Yamaguchi, said. “But we want to give a very good performance in this tournament and exhibit the quality of both our team and the J.League.”
Landon Donovan won’t be playing this evening. The game is at 6pm, Hawaii time, and will be held at the Aloha Stadium. The winner of this match will play the Houston Dynamo or Sydney FC.
