Yesterday, David Beckham and AC Milan played a frustrating game against a rival, Inter Milan. Fresh from the news that the Los Angeles Galaxy and AC Milan couldn’t reach an agreement over the transfer of David to Milan permanently, AC Milan fell 2-1 to Inter Milan.

David played the first 56 minutes of the game before he was substituted off the field. When he left the field, David looked exhausted and was limping a little bit, holding his hamstring. Not much has been revealed about the injury, but it’s likely it’s a mild strain that was caused due to David’s strenuous football schedule. He had played in a friendly match for England the day before.
Here’s a video with some highlights from the game:
As for the Galaxy/Milan talks, AC Milan’s coach, Carlos Ancelotti, remains hopeful an agreement can be reached, despite the MLS’s passed deadline of February 13 and the Galaxy’s announcement that David would be returning.
“We’ve still got 20 days to close the deal. Galaxy has forced the situation, but there’s time before March 9,” Ancelotti told the ANSA news.
Frankly, I think both sides need to move on and prep for their upcoming seasons and games. They can always look to the end of the 2009 MLS season, when David’s opt-out clause in his MLS contract comes into effect.
