David Beckham was involved in the Pride of Britian Awards last night, a ceremony designed to honor the best of Britain. He surprised 17-year-old Carl Duval, a young man who pushed a stranger out of the way of a speeding train.
“It’s an amazing thing you’ve done,” David told Carl.
It’s a truly great awards ceremony where brave young people like Carl are rewarded and often get to meet their favorite hero. You can read all about the festivities in the Daily Mirror.
While the awards were taped last night, they will air in Britain tonight at 8pm on ITV1. It should be a really fun event to watch–every major British celebrity and political figure will be there!
