David Beckham spent yesterday afternoon training with the England national team. He was called up to join the roster for twenty-four players last week. David’s stint with AC Milan is over and he will be spending the next month with England preparing for the World Cup qualifying matches against Kazakhstan and Andorra.

The team practiced at the London Colney in St Albans, England. After playing with England, David will return to the Los Angeles Galaxy, where he will complete the MLS season. His future after that is up in the air, as he has an opt-out clause in his Galaxy contract that comes to fruition in November.

If David sees the field in either of these matches, they will be his 111th and 112th cap respectively. While he’s still a ways off of Peter Shilton’s all time record of 125 caps, it certainly looks like David is going to give Shilton a run for his money!
