I’m pleasantly surprised by the simplicity and understated coolness of American Idol winner, David Cook’s, album. Sometimes people try to do too much with their album or they go for the super close-up picture. This is just David and I like it.
Anyway, the self-titled album (okay, he loses points there because I think every album deserves an interesting title and I hate when new artists fall into that trap) is set to hit stores on November 18, 2008.
Here is the track listing:
- Declaration
- Heroes
- Light On
- Come Back to Me
- Life on the Moon
- Bar-ba-sol
- Mr. Sensitive
- Lie
- I Did It for You
- Avalanche
- Permanent
- A Daily Anthem
- BONUS TRACK – The Time Of My Life
I know “Time of My Life” has gotten (and remained) really popular but I really don’t like it very much. I guess it had to be included on the album but I almost feel like it would have been better left off. What do you think? It’s a good song but it just doesn’t feel/sound like anything I think David would have come up with himself.

I really like the titles listed and I think TOML probably could have been left out. But its a Bonus Track so its like its separate!
