David Cook performed on last night’s Christmas at Rockefeller Center special. He chose to sing John Lennon’s "Happy Xmas (War is Over)" which I think really suited his voice. I’m never a big fan of anyone covering it so I wasn’t exactly thrilled but he did a good job. Watch him sing it here:
Hosts, Al Roker and Jane Krakowski, joked about David Cook winning American Idol with 55 million votes in comparison to the 68 million Barack Obama received to win the U.S. presidency. That’s crazy! He also sang "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." I thought it was great!

I LOVED David in both songs, but especially Happy Christmas. His voice sounded so rich and smokey and manly. Major yum! He was just outstanding last night at the show!
i only saw the first song on tv last night,i loved it!
David Cook is the MAN! I love love LOVE him! Great performances.
David Cook sang Happy Christmas better than John Lennon ever did!
I LOVED BOTH OF HIS PERFORMANCE..OUTSTANDING!!..THE BEST PERFORMANCE THAT NIGHT OR EVER..I LISTEN TO IT ABOUT 30 TIMES NOW,AND IT MAKES ME CRIED EVERY TIME..THAT WHAT WE LOVE HIM,HE SING EVERY SONG FROM THE BOTTOM OF HIS HEART..DESPITE ALL THE STUFF HE’VE BEEN THROUGH,HE STILL MANAGE TO PUT A STANDOUT PERFORMANCE..STAY STRONG COOK!
