David Sutcliffe stars alongside America Ferrera in a thriller movie inspired by true events entitled Towards Darkness. The movie, which goes by the name Hacia la Oscuridad in Spain, is a bilingual film set about the kidnapping business in Colombia. It was filmed in Panama City and had a limited theaterical release in March – it will come to DVD this June.
Towards Darkness deals with 90 minutes in a kidnapped hostage’s life – with his life, his family, the special ops team, and the man who is in charge of delivering the ransom money. The story moves at a quick pace, but also include flashbacks about how the nightmare began. David Sutcliffe stars as Charlie Bain, part of the Kidnap & Ransom company hired to supervise the ransom exchange. Part of the flashbacks include his, which show how Charlie is looking for redemption for a past killing.
