David Sutcliffe Makes Second Appearance On “Accidentally On Purpose”

Thanks to commenter Marie for giving us a heads up on this clip CBS posted with David Sutcliffe (Christopher on Gilmore Girls) appearance on Accidentally On Purpose. He first entered the show a few weeks ago as Brian, and re-emerges when Billie (the main character, played by Jenna Elfman) goes on a date with him and Zack, the father of her unborn child gets jealous. There’s lots of glimpses of David in the following clip:

I would have probably never watched that show if he wasn’t on it. I guess I am too conservative but I don’t find anything funny about conceiving a child from a one night stand. I wouldn’t say its a US thing. I guess maybe some guys would “date” a woman who was already pregnant or was a single mother but in this situation, it seemed like he wanted a more serious relationship with her and the baby by buying her that crib. Any role David plays, he always plays an amazing lover, heck, he was even convincing with Antonio Sabado Jr., but his chemistry with Lauren and Kate (private practice) is tops.

I just managed to see this clip, and I agree with Jennifer. I said the same thing the last time and the beard does not get better with time!

The writing show is so weak it makes clear why so many fans of Gilmore Girls still love the show even when it is not working. At least on the Gilmore Girls the characters are complex and the scenario has SOME realism. Shows like this one are reminiscent of the theater of the absurd in a very slight degree but is just painful to watch in how obvious it is.

The stream of guys who rush to date this woman BECAUSE she is pregnant? Is this common in the US? Jenna Elfman is an attractive woman but she has a child with a man in his 20s after one night of intimacy and now lives with him and this is attractive? It does not seem like a joke that should play for weeks and weeks.

I love David but he does not look good with that scruffy looking face.
