Demi Lovato’s new show "Sonny With a Chance” debuts on February 8th. Not far away at all! Demi recently chatted with MTV about the show and how she can relate to her character Sonny.
"The show is actually a sitcom. It’s the Disney version of ‘30 Rock,’ " she said. "On that show, we have a rivalry with another show, and there’s so many, like, crazy plot lines. I play this girl who comes to L.A., or Hollywood, and is kind of thrown into all this madness."
Demi’s character Sonny, is a girl from a small town who moves to Los Angeles and finds fame and fortune. Hmmmmm….that sounds familiar! That’s similar to Demi Lovato’s story.
"And she’s, like, this little Midwestern or Wisconsin girl I kind of can relate to," said Lovato. "I’m from Texas and I’m thrown into this [thing that's like], ‘Whoa everything is awesome.’ It’s really interesting."
