Demi Lovato has lined up a new television series!! Disney has signed on Demi to “Welcome to Mollywood,” a live-action comedy.
The show-within-a-show stars Demi as Molly, a 15-year-old who is discovered via a nationwide casting call to star in a teen sketch comedy TV series.
“Mollywood” centers on the character’s home and work life but will also feature fully produced comedy sketches from the fictional program.
The series is set to launch production in September and will air sometime during the 2008-09 TV season.

i’m happy for her but at the same time i am getting sick of her she doesn’t even right her own music why should she get credit it’s sickening i’m sorry to demi lovers but i’m on the verge of cussing her out!

OK HOLD UP PEOPLE!!!!!!!!! I don’t know why you guys are saying that Miley has talent when she doesn’t. Miley lip-synchs at her concerts and she used a body double at one of her concerts that look like a monkey. Miley does not even write her own music. Demi actually writes her own music. All Miley’s songs are just about boys. Demi has real music that are emotional and that are really important in life. When Miley is performing live, all she does in scream/yell on the microphone to reach those high notes. Do you see Demi doing that? NO. Demi sings really normal and all Miley does is yell to hit those high notes. Face it people, Miley can’t sing. Demi can sing. Demi deserves the role. She has talent. Unlike Miley Cyrus. Anyway, Demi quit As The Bell Rings so she can get a new show and besides she has other projects to work on. So Demi deserves the role.

you guys are getting all worked up about something thats not even about you! first of all… you guys are saying- well most of u are- that demi doesnt DESERVE this role because she basically doesnt have the experience. obviously, if she hadnt played ina lot of shows then that means you people dont even know her. what makes u say she doesnt DESERVE it? i bet she does… give yourselves a chance to get to know her! and LAUREN– even though i really dont like miley cyrus, i have to say she is a better singer than demi and MC is not that good. all demi does is scream into the mike to reach her high notes- miley doesnt do that. (according to demi’s song “how do you know”)

i don’t understand why the casting directors would pick DEMI out of all of the people in the america. She’s nothing special. Her voice is ok, her acting is ok, her face is original, and her smile is FORCED! I don’t understand why Disney would do anything they can to promote her. Ashley Tisdale should get more credit than her.

I think Demi deserves the role. She writes her own songs. And I don’t agree with FLAP JACK, bloggerr, Tiffani Amber!, Dorothy, Nellie, Mary, Donna, Mitch, Gwen, Nikki, Sally, Jessica, Laura, IluvyaNiley. She is my best friend in the whole wide world. She always stands up for people. I like her a lot. Even if she’s auditioned for Camp Rock and As The Bell Rings, doesn’t mean she can’t audition in Welcome to Mollywood. At least, you have to give her a chance. She’s new to Disney Channel and so am I. I don’t even wanna here people talk trash about my best friend. It’s just like school. When you’re the new kid, people make fun of you, hate you and talk about you behind your back. That’s mean. So Demi, I love you and you rock on!!!

How can you guys say that Demi doesn’t deserve this role because she has no experience??! You guys are right, Demi DID get a leading act in a top Disney movie, so this proves she at least has SOME expereience. Whereas when Miley started Hannah Montana, she had absolutely NO experience in any shows, mini series, OR movies. You guys gave Miley a chance when Hannah Montana started, and I think everyone should give Demi the same equal chance Miley got.
Yeah, I say give Demi a chance. Her vioce is really good. She does write her own songs. It is just that she needed help to write them because her style is not like anything Disney would accept. I thought she did well in Camp Rock. I am actually happy for Welcome to Mollywood to come on.

Oh My God! Demi Lovato isn’t pretty or talented. In fact, I think she’s ugly, and when she smiles, she looks constipated. Plus, she tries to hard to sound good when she’s singing. Why doesn’t Disney channel let other kids, who aren’t already famous have a chance? I mean, Demi Lovato already has camp rock, camp rock 2, and her singing career. I am so tired of the same actresses! Especially ones with no skill like Demi Lovato.

hey guys i have to say Demi Lovato is really awesome!!!! Selena is so cool too. Miley used to be my fave but now demi and selena r. demi and selena really support each other and they r both talented. Miley is ok, and i still watch Hannah Montana. Wizards of Waverly Place is totally awesome and i can’t wait for Demi’s new show.

I think Demi is a wonderful singer, songwriter, actress, and person. So is Selena. I don’t like Miley too much cuz she is getting on my last nerves. She is EVERYWHERE I look! It’s SO annoying. Well, she’s an ok singer but she sounds like her tounge is glued to the roof of her mouth. And she CAN BE a good actress. I wanna see the HM movie. But a lot of times she isn’t that good. You guys should stop saying mean stuff to each other just cuz of your opinions.
