There have been many, many rumors flying about the second season of Real Housewives of Atlanta, but here’s one that’s actually true: DeShawn Snow, wife of former NBA player Eric Snow is not returning to Real Housewives of Atlanta. She just didn’t bring the drama. In an interview, DeShawn says this:
“[One of the producers] called and said that I was “too human for a circus show” and that because the show did so well, they are about to pump up the drama and they didn’t think that I would fit in. He gave me an example, saying that during the reunion when I found out what a few of the other ladies said about me, they were expecting me to say more, but I’m not the type to go “television” and start acting crazy because somebody’s talking about me. I’m fine with the decision. It wasn’t my decision. They let me go and there are no hard feelings. I am thankful for the opportunity.”
DeShawn can comfort herself knowing she’s the only Atlanta housewife who hasn’t been caught up in an endless pit of negative press and is apparently the only one with real money to back up her lavish lifestyle.
As to who will replace Deshawn, the latest rumor (in addition to the previous one about Dr. Jay’s wife, Dorys Erving), is that Tameka Raymond, wife of R & B singer Usher, will join the cast. However, she says Bravo merely approached her, but she will not be joining.

It’s a shame that Bravo cannot see that some of us…viewers do watch to see “real” women/mothers/wives that are NOT mean/creating nasty drama.. DeShawn was the only one who seemed to be educated, had a faithful marriage, all of her kids, and was actually living in her own “real” home in Atlanta with one husband… Is that an excuse to take her off of a show called “The REAL Housewives of Atlanta”?? Wow.. so much for “Reality” shows??

I think it stinks that Ms. Snow was let go from the show! Despite all of the money she has, she appeared to be a genuine woman with a kind heart. Sure she did not get caught up in all of the drama, but thats because she is mature and handled herself like a real lady! I’m shocked the show let her go. You think they would want atleast one person on the show who is kind hearted and level headed!
