The guest stars keep coming for Ugly Betty’s second half of season 3. This time, it’s Dexter costar Lauren Velez, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
She will play Elena, a nurse that enters the lives of the Suarez family. Presumably, this will concern Ignacio’s imminent heart attack. Do the writers have the internal fortitude to resist turning her into a love interest for someone (Ignacio, maybe)? Can they help themselves?
Nevertheless, something very VERY interesting is going to revolve around Velez. According to sources, her character is “tied to a plot twist that might involve the death of a major character.”
Holy cow – they’d better not kill off Ignacio! But, who else could it be? I don’t consider Stuart a major character. I suppose they could kill off Alexis off-screen, but how would that involve this nurse? Questions, Questions.
According to Velez’s IMDB page, she’s done a LOT of television (along with Dexter, various Law and Orders, Numb3rs, Oz). I think she’ll be great on the show.
I’m just hoping the mealy-mouthed “might” in the leak is just Silvio Horta toying with us again. Don’t kill of anybody!
They can’t kill anyone off!! I love all of the characters and it’ll be unfair!!!

i know that we had santos and bradford dying but for another character to die during this season?

I dun think Stuart dying would a be MAJOR twist for the show, seeing as we all know he’s going to die soon. I dun want any of the main cast to get killed off. I mean if it has to be someone, make it Molly… or Connor. Sorry, but I just dun see any other way. Killing them off would make a good plot twist without getting rid of any of the other UB cast.
I think we shoudn’t read that sentence in a tight sense: I mean, maybe who talks wants only give a little suspance: if you notice, the spoiler itself doesn’t say anything about Ignacio – we know he will be ill thanks to Ausiello, who tell us that he will be good after all.

Tom, I really don’t know where to put this. But, oh well… remember the 11th Impact Awards Venue in 2008 where Silvio Horta scooped some info about Ugly Betty? Well this year’s Impact awards feature TWO prominent Guest Stars of the show:
Freddy Rodriguez (Gio) and Lauren Velez (Elena) received Outstanding performance awards. One for acting as Jesse Rodriguez and producing “Nothing Like the Holidays” and the other for her work as Maria La Guerta in “Dexter”.

She’s so sweet. I love how she says “Freddy Rodriguez why you didn’t cast me in your movie?” and “seguimos pa’alante, pa’alante, pa’alante. Como dice mi mama” We must keep going, going, going forward… like my mom says.”
