Hicks, I got many emails from you readers reminding me that there was another American Idol releasing music this week.
Diana DeGarmo has released an EP titled “Unplugged in Nashville” which is now available on CD Baby, Itunes and Rhapsody. Here is the tracklisting:

- Find Me
The songs are all acoustic so the focus is on Diana’s pure vocals which, of course, are amazing. I’d love to hear what you guys thought of the music.

As HAIR readies for its Broadway makeover and London premiere, rumors are beginning to swirl as to which current cast members will be settling in across the pond and which new faces will be gracing the Broadway production. The newest reports out suggest that American Idol alumni Ace Young (season 5′s seventh runner up) and Diana DeGarmo (season 3 runner up, Hairspray, The Toxic Avenger) are among the new picks for the Broadway replacement cast. No official announcement has been made by the production, although it is expected that casting announcements for London and New York are imminent, as the new Broadway performers go into rehearsal in the coming weeks.
Great news thanks for posting about Diana DeGarmo’s two February country music appearances on February 12th and February 17th, 2010. They will be a great night of live music, I hear for the appearance on February 12th, she is planning to include in her set some cover songs singing with Stacy Donahue and Jenny Gill. Something’s up with Snellville’s Diana DeGarmo.
The American Idol runner-up, who’s since appeared on the CMT reality show “Gone Country,” and hit Broadway as Penny Pingleton in “Hairspray,” and off-Broadway as a blind librarian in “Toxic Avenger,” is close to sealing some new deal.
(Hey, there’s a reason she made RoHo’s list of Most Successful Idol Alums last fall.)
Exactly what the Shiloh High School grad’s next step is remains unclear but her tantalizing tweets suggest either another reality show or another musical, given the time committment involved. On Tuesday afternoon an apparently nervous DeGarmo tweeted that she was about to “find out about the next seven months of my life,” and followed up a few hours later with “I booked it! I will unveil the show once the deal is sealed.”
Whatever it is, the venture seems likely to be a taxing one.
Wednesday she was back with “Feeling sore as all get out today, but can’t wait to know when the deal is sealed for my new job!” and then, “Don’t jump to conclusions anyone
I Hope She will replacing Kerry Butler in the Broadway production of Rock of Ages.
Just saw that Diana DeGarmo has great events that she will be appearing at in February 2010.

Did everyone see Todrick Hall pass his audition on American Idol episode last week to advance to Hollywood Week???? He mentioned that he worked with Fantasia on the Color Purple, but there was no mention of him working with Diana DeGarmo on Oz the Musical which toured through Texas in February 2009.

Diana DeGarmo was in the recording studio this week with producer Scott Alan working on a song called “I Wish” according to a post on Diana’s Twitter page.

Happy New Year!!! Great year 2009 for Diana DeGarmo, in February 2009, she was Dorothy in Oz the Musical then in April and May of 2009 she went to Los Angeles to be in Back to Bacharach and David another terrific show. In July, 2009, she went to Oklahoma City to be in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with Anthony Federov. In August through January 3, 2010, she was in the Toxic Avenger in New York City, the show just concluded this past weekend. Diana was also named for 2009 one of Broadway’s top 30 under 30.
For 2009, Diana DeGarmo also made numerous appearances at American Idol events walking the red carpet at the finale. She also worked as an expert analyst writing a weekly column about American Idol for OK Magazine. She also was at the opening at Disney World of the AMerican Idol experience.
In 2009, Diana DeGarmo also made many country/pop music appearances in Nashville appearing at the CMA Music Festival appearing at the Limelight. In February 2009, she released an acoustic country/pop EP called Unplugged in Nashville which is available on Itunes, CD Baby, and Amazon. In November, she appeared at the CMA Music Awards show wearing a Jovani dress.
Diana also started a new official Facebook and Twitter website in 2009. These two websites are great additions to her official MySpace website.
Looking forward to 2010 and all of the great possibilities for future Broadway shows for Diana DeGarmo. Everyone is also anxiously awaiting and anticipating more great country/pop music coming from Diana in 2010 as she continues to work independently in Nashville on new projects and songwriting and performing. Hope to have another EP or full length album digitally released in 2010. In addition to music videos.

My favorite songs on Diana DeGarmo’s EP Unplugged in Nashville available on Itunes are Kiss Me and Thank You. The song Kiss Me is a great song about a young couple in love from good times and bad times to a happy marriage. The song Thank You is a great tribute to the US Military. Highly recommend Unplugged in Nashville all four songs on the EP are excellent.

Diana DeGarmo’s Unplugged in Nashville was one of the best releases for 2009. The EP which was released in February 2009 through Itunes, CDBABY, Rhapsody, and Amazon showcases DeGarmo’s vocals at their best. All four songs on this amazing EP were co-written by Diana. Definitely swing by Itunes to download this outstanding EP.
Still a few more days before Christmas to download Diana Degarmo Unplugged in Nashville from Itunes, Napster, CDBaby, and Amazon. This is one of the best releases of 2009. Diana’s vocals on this terrific EP are outstanding. Diana is terrific in a country/pop direction and hope she has more new music planned for release in 2010.
