With an amazing range and vocal prowess far beyond her years, Diana DeGarmo gained overnight fame as runner-up on the third season of the No. 1 series on television, “American Idol.” That led to the release of her first single, “Dreams,” which claimed the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles Sales chart, and her full-length RCA album, “Blue Skies.”
DeGarmo has also conquered the Great White Way, starring as Penny Pingleton in Broadway’s “Hairspray”

For Gone Country, Diana DeGarmo co-wrote and performed for the show’s finale the song Right Back Where We Ended. For this song, Diana got to work with legendary country producer Keith Stegall and Nashville songwriter Shanna Crooks.

In 2008, Diana DeGarmo made appearances at the country music awards shows. Diana attended both the CMT Music Awards Show and also the CMA Music Awards Show. Diana was a presenter at the CMT Music Awards Show with the cast of Gone Country. The cast introduced Kenny Chesney.

In July, Diana DeGarmo was at the Grand Opening of the club FUSE in Nashville. Diana has also been seen performing for the Nashville Broncs the National Anthem.

In November, Diana DeGarmo was a guest on the Howard Stern Show.

In addition to this Diana DeGarmo has been really busy performing concerts in Nashville. She has appeared at the Tin Roof, 12th & Porter, and Listening Room Cafe. She has been performing many great new songs like: Pause, Thank You, Mr. Right, Find Me, Better With Time, Turn to Me and Kiss Me.

American Idol Rewind for Season 3 was shown on the TV Guide Channel and KTTV during the month of November and December. Diana DeGarmo was seen in exclusive 2008 interviews reliving her memories from 2004.

In December, Diana DeGarmo went on an American Idol Holiday Tour with Kimberley Locke, David Hernandez and Chikezie. The cast was shown on the CBS Early Show and also on the Morning Show with Mike and Juliet.

On December 5, 2008, in Athens Georgia Diana DeGarmo officially released her new (EP) “Unplugged In Nashville”.

On December 17, 2008 through her MySpace page she officially released an acoustic version of the song “Thank You” which is one of the tracks on her (EP) Unplugged In Nashville.

Great year for Diana DeGarmo in 2008!!!!!

She has been performing new songs at live shows in and around the Nashville area and has recorded an acoustic EP entitled “Unplugged in Nashville”. The EP contains 4 songs co-written by DeGarmo and is currently available at her live shows. It will be digitally available on iTunes in the coming weeks. One of the songs, “Thank You”, can be streamed from DeGarmo’s MySpace page.

Heard that Diana DeGarmo will make an appearance this Friday, December 12, 2008 on the Morning Show with Mike and Juliet on Fox at 9am.

Heard that Diana DeGarmo’s plans are to release a mini album (EP) during the holiday tour. That is sure going to be great to have some new music from Diana.
