Did J-Lo Pimp Out Her Babies?

Entertainment Weekly GRAMMY After Party Toasting LA Reid - Arrivals

In a new interview R&B Singer Usher says “”In no way would I ever pimp out my child for money,” in response to the question of accepting money to pose with his five-month-old son, Usher Raymond V.

Usher will pose with his tot on the cover of Essence Magazine in June. He is not receiving any money from this.

On one hand, I think the celebs have every right to protect their kids from a media circus. Usher would not have had the paparazzi that people like Angelina Jolie or even J-Lo had. Celebs that pose with their kids often cut off the high price the media puts on the heads of their children. But people like to judge each other, especially when it comes to parenting. I don’t have a problem with it, because I, like everyone else, enjoy seeing the pictures.

So what do you think?

    I don’t know, Cherie.

These entertainers already make ridiculous amounts of money, many for doing nothing notable. So, I definitely understand where Usher is coming from when he uses the phrase “pimp out.”

But then, I wouldn’t pose for photos with my children at all if I were a celeb — the line would get drawn there for the sake of their privacy.

    Chandra,

I totally agree with you. I enjoy seeing the pictures, but if it were me? I’d be a total hermit. I wouldn’t let the tots get photographed at all if I could help it.

And I guess that’s where some celebs just give up and make this bargain. They know their kids are gonna have a price on their head unless they are shown in pictures. So they figure they can cut off the paparazzi by doing this.
