According to NY Daily News, singer John Mayer may have played a role in bringing Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson back together.
Mayer was allegedly “spotted” playing relationship counselor between Lindsay and Samantha when they ran into each other at NYC club Butter on Monday night, according to NY Daily News.
The two girls didn’t arrive together, but according to the partygoer, Lindsay went to the table where Mayer was sitting. The source said Samantha eventually came to the table, but sat on the opposite end of Lindsay’s.
“Lindsay looked upset that Sam hadn’t come over to her, and she started whispering to John, who looked like he was trying to calm her down,” the source told NY Daily News. “She looked pretty angry. Then John got up and went to talk to Sam.”
According to the story, this did the trick. Samantha went over to Lindsay to talk a few minutes later. The NY Daily News source said after that point, Lindsay and Samantha spent most of the night talking and laughing, and Lindsay looked truly content.
“Lindsay seemed happier than she has in ages,” the spy told NY Daily News. “Sam eventually got up and deejayed for a while, and Lindsay kept standing up and looking over to the deejay booth, smiling.”
According to the source, Mayer left before Lindsay and Samantha, but did get a hug from Lindsay before he left.
“Lindsay and Sam both stayed past 3,” the partygoer told NY Daily News. “They didn’t leave together, but they definitely ended the night on good terms.”
Is this story true? Who knows. As of yet there is no photographic proof.
Lindsay was in NYC and Samantha seems to have been in NYC too. And Lindsay did post this message to Twitter during the late night hours on Dec. 1.

The last time Lindsay talked about Sam, she says there’s no break up but Sam didn’t say anything so… it depends on how you see it. :)
