Dina Lohan and daughter Ali Lohan appeared on Showbiz Tonight last night to promote "Living Lohan", their new reality series to premiere on E! next Monday. It’s a whirlwind of promotions for the Lohan duo. Ali talks about her passion for the business, and Dina defends their choice to get Ali into show business. Dina says they are facilitating Ali’s dream to be as successful as her sister was – it’s about letting Ali shine.
Dina Lohan addresses their choice to pursue a reality series – which, although successful for many families, can cause more media pressure. Dina, however, sees the reality series as their only choice to combat the tabloids.
The reporter puts a tough question to Dina and to Ali about keeping Ali on the right path in Hollywood. After getting a little defensive about Lindsay, saying everyone (showbiz or not) stumbles, they think instilling Ali with the right moral values and hope she can find the right path. With some anger, Dina also addressees whether the show is for her own fame.
They end with some advice from Lindsay on how to deal with Hollywood pressures.

Ali is horrible…she trys sooo hard to be Lindsay when..she just can’t! Why isn’t she happy with who she really is? Doesn’t she know that she’d turn out to be a better person if she would just be “Ali”?
This was an excellent interview. The reporter asked questions that should have been asked and Dina could not answer honestly. There’s no skirting around the issue that Lindsay was arrested, in jail, and had three stints in rehab. As for Ali – all these promotional interviews only prove that she lacks the charisma that Lindsay once had and has completely wasted.
Wow. Is it just me or do they keep saying the same thing over and over? It’s like they’re reading from a script.

“She’s just a regular mom like any other mom.”

“We’re under a microscope.”
Dina is delusional. Why is she getting angry considering the reporter asked her legit questions? With fame comes scrutiny. Not everybody will like you. Personally, I think she did the show for herself. She loves to talk. It’s pretty apparent. Her and Ali lack Lindsay’s “special something.” Lindsay has grace, poise, charm, talent and she’s just downright beautiful.
And why is Dina so worried about what people think about her family when she has always said in past interviews that her family is above the gossip and they’ve developed a thick skin? Interesting.
