So we finally had the season premiere last night, and I don’t know about you guys, but I loved it. I don’t want to get into too many details here for those of you who haven’t seen it yet, but I love the new direction they seem to be taking the show in, with regards to Allison’s powers and the roles of different family members.
We had our first open mic last night for the premiere, and I want to thank everyone who stopped by and either chatted or just hung out with us, and if you weren’t there, you can read the transcript.
Now that you’ve had some time to digest the episode, I want to know what you think! I’m going to do a review, but for right now, just go ahead and discuss the episode in the comments. I want to hear what you have to say!

I thought it was a good! I spoiled it for myself by reading a summary on,I think tv.com ,that told the plot. So I knew from the start that Sophie planned the whole thing. I wish I didn’t read that. It is more fun trying to figure it out with Allison and Scanlon. Otherwise Allison’s story was good. I liked how she kind of just imagined whatever people were telling her. It was good that Peter’s ghost came to visit her in the car. I hope they resolve Joes Job issue
quickly so we don’t have to see much more of that. The family dynamics were good.
Poor Bridgette got blamed for taking the key, meanwhile it was really Allison who snuck it out of Ariel’s purse.
Nice to see Allison back at work with Scanlon and Devolos. Can’t wait to see Scanlon with Little Lee.
The preview fo next week looked good even though it is a possession storyline. I think it will be exciting.
I enjoyed it very much, I was counting the days till Medium was back. I agree I hope they resolve Joe’s employment issue, and I want to see more of a mature Ariel. I loved it, its so refreshing.
I hope we continue to see more Lee’s life with the new baby. Keep up the great new channel and new season.

Excellent show. Does anyone know how it did in the ratings? I know CBS was kicking strong all week with it”s new shows and premieres . Cross your fingers Friday and Medium kept up the trend.
Great to see Allison back in the action already with Devolos and Scanlon.
Really strong premiere. I guess they had to show Joe deal with work since he had to quit his job in San Diego. I hope he finds a new job fast and then they don’t dwell on his job anymore.
The main plot was good. Like the way Allison and Scanlon figured it out with Allisons powers still out of wack.
The season six premiere was excellent. The family dynamics were right on and Allison’s powers slowly coming back in a form of Deja vu was beyond excellent. It was so good. I hope Joe’s job problem gets solved and Allison has more weird abilities appearing after the surgery. I also hope she drops the cane soon and is normal!!!
Ya, what was the ratings?
I LOVED the episode! And I realised how much I’ve missed them. I think it’s a great “turn” how everything is gonig to be a bit diffrent. For example allisons “visions” (or what do u say?) and how Ariel is getting older and have more of the teenagers problem. And i’m really looking forward for the next episodes. And I just need to say that I think that Sofia is an excellent actress and I hope she gets alot more space in the show.
In the ratings, it grew in total viewers (8.8m) from Ghost Whisperer, but dropped down to a 2.0 in the key demo. It still beat all the competition comfortably.
I would take that as positive but obviously I don’t really understand how it works.
Meidum did really well. It beat both Ghost Whisperer and Numb3rs in total viewers. Ghost Whisperer got 8.6 million, Medium got 8.8 million, and Numb3rs got 7.9 million. Even tho these numbers are low compared to last year, it is still great to see Medium doing well. As for the 18-49 demo. Ghost Whisperer got 2.2/7, Medium got 2.0/6, and Numb3rs got 1.8/6.
Good news that Medium did well in the ratings. Let’s hope it keeps up so we can have a season 7. Glad it beat the competition comfortably. CBS has been doing a great job promoting their shows and they have been leading in the ratings this week.
I liked it too. It was good that they let time pass since Allison came out of the coma.
I liked the Deja Vu thing istead of the typical dream.
The main story was good. Love Scanlon and Devolos .Great to see Allison able to return to work and help them solve the crime.
Hope they resolve Joes job stuff soon. I don’t like it. But I watch with my husband . He is an engineer ,like Joe, and the only person I know who actually likes that part of the show.
So happy it did so well in the ratings Friday.
Medium really got a 2.1/7 in its demo. Lol, better that way tho. My mistake.

Medium was amazing. I loved it. I couldnt believe how well it was done. I was a little worried about the coma but everything worked out in a logical way.
It was a good premiere. I liked the main story. Great to see Allison back at work with the DA and Scanlon.
The family dynamics were good.
Still not thrilled with having to watch Joe deal with work issues every episode.

I thought it was a great episode. Loved that there was lots of hugs going around. The Joe and his job thing has got to go, though. My eyes roll all over the place every time they mention his job/lack of job. I’m a little confused about the Lee and Lee Jr. thing though. Hopefully they’ll tell us what the heck is happening with them in the next episode. I hope there’s no glossing over with the baby stuff!
In the first min. on the show Ariel is mad at bridgette cuz she thinks she stole the keys to allisons volvo. And what does se say after “Listen to me your…” what? Cant hear what she is saying… anybody?
I agree with you Anna. I roll my eyes at joes job too. What is happening with Scanlon and Dinovi they hardly mentioned about them having the baby.
Lina, I think it was “child of Sasquatch” i.e. Bigfoot, it took me a second listen to figure out what Ariel said.
lynn and Lee’s baby was mentioned, just very little yes. I think they should play with Lynn’s character more. I LOVED the episode and for Medium to be a new comer on CBS, beside CBS’s best show, Ghost Whisperer, and beating it on their first episode, is pretty amazing. And I bet you that Medium’s ratings will only get bigger as the time comes. I was reading a lot about what people thought and some people didn’t even know Medium was airing on Friday. So half the viewers weren’t even watching to count in the ratings. I think Medium will have a great success here in CBS headquarters! heh I also hope that the ratings are consistent and they give Medium a seventh season.! That would be a treat.

Overall I liked the show. I liked the whole Deja Vu and Allison slowly getting her powers back I agree they should play with Lynn character more. They could do a lot with that since she is Scanlons girlfriend and also the deputy mayor.
I agree with you guys they should do more with the Lee and Lynn storyline. I always liked them. They could do some good subplot stories with that instead of Joes boring job storyline. I hope they don’t just gloss over the baby stuff either.
Really enjoyed the episode! Glad they didn’t spend so much time on Joe’s job – hopefully it will be mostly off camera so we don’t have to sit through it.
They didn’t address Ariel’s haircut. I’m concerned about Sofia after seeing the picture above – I certainly hope she doesn’t go the way of “young Hollywood” and dress like a hooker from now on out. Her skirt is awfully short and I hate to see them start wearing a drawer full of makeup. Let her mature slowing and not overnight. Look at Miley Cyrus – she went from sweet young girl who loved her family to a pole dancer overnight!

I really enjoyed the premiere, too. The “twist” that it was a setup by the sportscaster to kill her rich husband was obvious, but it didn’t seem to matter. I really felt for that poor guy and would like to think he has nice afterlife following being called a rhino and treated like less than nothing.
My favorite scene was when Scanlon walked in Devalos’s office and I was assured that he was still on the show! It was also nice to see the continuity when Allision asked about the baby (I wonder if it’s Lee like his name, or Leigh, which is more common for women?) It makes sense that the baby was born because Allison was in the coma for three months, and Lynn was variously 6 months to one year pregnant the last two times we saw her.
I also liked both Allison and Ariel’s new cuts. I’ll be interested to see if the show follows through and Joe actually gets a haircut. It couldn’t hurt.
I’m glad to hear that it’s doing well in the ratings on its new network. I was very curious as to how it would fare. The fact that (if I’m reading the numbers correctly) it brought in viewers following Ghost Whisperer is great. I also watched that show for the first time and agree that it could not be more different from Medium.
