Disney Channel has always done well when it comes to anything music related. We all know how incredibly popular the High School Musical movies were! And when it comes to musical-themed series – Hannah Montana, Phineas and Ferb and JONAS all come to mind. Disney XD will be premiering their music filled show “I’m in the Band” in November.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Disney has ordered a musically themed comedy series entitled “Dance Dance Chicago”. It’s “a contemporary tale of two kids working as back-up dancers on an ‘American Bandstand’-type show.”
They are in the middle of casting right now, with plans to start production in January.
If you got to choose who to cast in this pilot, who would you choose? They need to be able to dance and possibly sing!

My sister would be PERFECT for a role on this show – she was in America’s Next Dance Crew and has the face and personality for the Disney Channel!
