Patricia Arquette and Jake Weber are really rallying for Barack Obama and Patricia Arquette was even making door to door visits in Nevada. It made me wonder if this gives him an unfair advantage. Would seeing a star on your doorstep sway you to change your mind? Or would you just ask Patricia for her autograph after you picked yourself back up off the floor (and readjusted your shirt to hide that spaghetti stain. Why didn’t you change your outfit before answering the door?) and then vote the way you usually do?

I’m undecided about this one, Katelyn. On one hand, it is great to see some of them using their celebrity for something other than their own gain, and to try to do something for the world and the community.
But on the other hand, if someone is undecided about who they should vote for, then they could be easily swayed to vote for the wrong candidate simply because a celebrity is endorsing that candidate. And their reasons might be entirely wrong for voting for that person. Which could lead to the wrong person being elected simply because of a bunch of empty votes from people who were uninformed (or poorly informed) and were convinced to vote the way of someone else with no reasons to justify their decision.
One the biggest problem in our time is getting people to vote and care so if people on TV talking about voting maybe others will.
Then again I’m english and we don’t get any of this to this party or that just hey give money to these people or stop povety or save the world
