Is there anyone who doesn’t love Dolly Parton? She’s honest, funny and has a style all her own. You always believe her when she says she’s having a great time because she truly puts her all into her efforts and enjoys herself. Dolly performed a religious tune on American Idol the other night, and though I’m not sure it’s the right choice for an international audience, she rocked it as always.
I’ll tell you what, though. I was mostly a big haired metal chick growing up, my love affair with Dolly goes way back since I heard “Here You Come Again” on my transistor radio in the early ’70s. Yeah my head banging friends laughed at me, but I don’t see Judas Priest performing on American Idol.
when are people going tos top watching american idol and realize the REAL talents are the indie musicians who are too busy w/their craft to sell out and care about fame? like april smith. love that girl. she would blow them all away! she’s playing sullivan hall 4/10. try to make it if you can. 8pm.
Loved Dolly on Idol! She seems so down to earth and humble. I’d love to have a beer with her sometime. I’ll bet she’s got some great stories to tell!
