The Dream of the Romans will be filming in Philadelphia for 25 days (starting on the 23rd). They are currently filming around 16th and South, and expect to be there a few more days. The Greater Philadelphia Film Office predicts that the film will bring $10 million to the local economy. (via Philly.com) This figure also indicates that the film is of a higher budget than some of the other independent flicks Lauren Graham has been in lately, and perhaps will see a greater distribution as a result.
Shown below are photos of Lauren Graham and The Dream of the Romans co-star Jeff Daniels (seen from behind) shooting in Philadelphia on March 26th. They are filming a scene outside the fictional "Straighten-Up Healing Center" run by her character, Elizabeth Danson.

I Love Lauren Graham! I would love to meet her even though my action in this order would be…
1. Scream
2. Cry
3. Faint
And i mean this literally.Well maybe not the faint part cuz ive never fainted B4 but shes so awesome, theres a 1st time for everything! She is what inspired me to be an actress. Even though ive done acting in like community/school/drama club stuff since i wuz 10, ive never thought of acting proffesionally until i started wating stuff Lauren waz in espeically Gilmore Girls. Now that’s all i ever want to do. And its all thanks to her and her amazing talent.

And also i’m mad that those kids would do that(steal food from the set and act like animals) I mean im 13 and i totally can imagine my friends doing that, but c’mon not on Lauren’s set! If i wuz at 1 of her sets(dream come true) and my friends did that i would kill them. She Rox!

they are starting filming on the block I live on tonight for a couple of days this should be exciting!
according to this they are filming near Rittenhouse Square. probably the park scenes with the little boy!

The next location isn’t that much of a mystery, it’s out there though Lauren won’t be there except for one day of filming..
On top of what Liz put about the $10 million – even though that’s the amount that it’ll inject into the local economy, it isn’t the budget. So don’t get the two of them mixed up.

Lauren apparently isn’t so anit-texting anymore. She was sitting on the curb texting, walking and texting, standing and texting lol. Guess she realized it isn’t so bad :)

The $10 Mill just means that since the movie actors and production crew are in the city, they will be spending money on food, entertainment, cabs, and things like that while they are here. Also there are the fees they have to pay to get streets shut down and to be able to film here, etc. Revenue for the city and its businesses.
How can those teeneagers possiblly do that? No wonder that some actors get angry!!!

Center City is actually pretty easy to find your way around. Parking is the main thing. If you can take public transportation, do it. If not pay close attention to the time limit on the parking signs. So many places around there are 2 hour parking only. As for where they will be next, we heard someone say they are not going to disclose that info because they have had a few people give them problems. When I was there, everyone was just fine except for a few groups of “poor excuses for humans” teenagers just getting out of school walking past and acting like animals. They were trying to grab food off the food services table.
