After being released last week, Dreamgirls has emerged at the top of both the rental and DVD sales lists. The movie, starring Jennifer Hudson, Beyoncé Knowles, Jamie Foxx and Eddie Murphy has generated $32 million in consumer spending in its first week, according to the Nielsen VideoScan chart. Home Media Magazine reports that the musical was the highest-debuting release of the week, with estimated rental earnings of $6.5 million.
