Hilary Duff has been answering some questions on her newly launched KOL (AOL Kids Online) site. It’s her new place to really interact with her younger fans – from updates to questions and likely much more.
Here are the questions and answers from this week!
Dear Hilary, I just turned ten and I asked my parents if I could get a mobile phone but they said no. I told mom if she bought me the phone I would pay for all the calls but she still said no. How can I convince my mom to let me have a mobile phone? – Bryanna.
Hilary’s response :: How do you expect to pay for the bill? Do you have a job or an allowance? Prove to your parents that you can be responsible, and if that doesn’t work, you may have to obey your parents and just wait until they think you need a phone.
Dear Hilary, I moved to another state recently and my friends and I promised we would keep in contact, but they’ve slowly stopped writing to me and I’m a bit worried that they don’t want to be my friends anymore. What do you think I should do? – Chloe
Hilary’s response :: I deal with that problem a lot too because I travel so much. Distance can really bring separation to people. They have each other so they’re probably not having as hard of time as you are. Try and tell them how you feel, but its also really important to make new friends.
Dear Hilary, I’m leaving my current school and going to a different one. On my last day, my class threw me a going away party and my friend and I had a fight. That was a couple of weeks ago now and were still not talking to each other. I want to be friends again but I don’t know what to do to make up with her? I really need your help! – Lily
Hilary’s response :: Call your friend and tell her you’d really like to talk. Tell her that her friendship really means a lot to you, and you really miss her since you haven’t spoken to her. Try and talk about the fight and work through your problems. Just be honest and it should work out for the best.

I read a lot of your magazines and stuff! I know just about everything about you! Well not everything because I am sure you have some secerts right? Well anyways, My best friend Nicloe gets back stage passes and front row seats to your concert’s everytime you come to Washington! Well it’s not like she brags because she is really nice! It’s just that she’s got money and you know I am kinda jelsius because I have a big family! Hi, I am your biggest fan–really. I am sitting here eating a burger and drinking Dr. Pepper. My dad has given me some of his famous pickels to eat with the burger, they are the best in the world. We would like to invite you down to do a radio interview on my father’s radio show. He has a shown on 89.5FM on Tuesday nights at 10:00 in Toronto. He promises to bring you some of his pickels if you come down.
I have seen both of your concerts at the ACC. Your last one rocked, and to make it even more special I went to it in a limo, because it was my birthday. I wanted your autograph, but didn’t see you anywhere, except on stage. I would love to get your autograph if you come and do my dad’s show. Could you please bring two pictures for myself and my best friend, Megan.

Hi there! I am the mom of one of the proudest little girls in the world right now! My daughter was standing up in front of the stage your entire concert… she held up a pink and white beaded bracelet. You took it and wore it the rest of the concert. We have got a ton of pictures and she is soo proud. Before the concert she brought me the bracelet and said that she was going to sacrifice it and give it to you. I told her not to expect to get close enough and that I was sure you could not accept everything that was offered. We did not have enough time before the concert to put her name or anything on it. That does not matter to her though. If you were her idol before, you are a thousand times more now! She already has your bedding, posters, movies, clothes, cd’s and make up. Plus every magazine she sees you in! We are going on a trip to Disneyland and is 100% convinced that she will run into you on the street. Anyway, I just wanted to take the time to thank you for making my little girls dream come true. So many stars don’t pay enough attention to their fans, and that one little gesture you made, has made her heart so full and has reminded us why we buy her your stuff and let her be “Hilary Crazy”…you deserve every one of our fans!!
