Katherine Heigl sat down with E! Online to discuss her big return to Grey’s and the fact that T.R. Knight isn’t returning to Grey’s and just how she feels about it all. It’s a fairly short clip, but we learn a lot from it.
For example: Heigl has known for a year now that she’d be returning next year. She’s also known for a year that T.R. Knight would not be returning for season six. She also admitted that she was surprised that ABC/Shonda Rhimes had let the cat out of the bag already since they’re all about the secrecy.
When asked how she felt about T.R. Knight not coming back, she said she was really sad about it, but that at least they live three minutes away. When the interviewer pointed out that T.R. would be headed to New York soon (to star on Broadway) she said, “That really pisses me off.” Heh heh. Guess she’s not very fond of the idea of having her best friend really far away.
Another thing revealed is that Heigl has nada, zero, zippo plans of ever giving the Broadway stage a shot.
(Never say never, though).
