eBay Removes Miley Cyrus Concert Tour Tickets

20090605_zaf_cm9_022.jpgIt seems that when it comes to tickets for a Miley Cyrus concert there is no way for her to win. Two years ago scalpers and brokers got their hands on a ton of tickets and sold them for an unreasonable amount. It was a huge controversy and kept a lot of true Miley Cyrus fans from getting to see her in concert.

Miley’s concert handlers are trying to prevent this from happening again by selling only paperless tickets. It was a controversial move and now brokers are complaining. Well, of course they are!

eBay has recently removed all Miley Cyrus tickets for her upcoming tour. They say the decision was not made because they were pressured by Miley’s representatives, but because of eBay’s presale policy. Here is a statement eBay made in regards to the removal of the tickets:

“eBay decided to remove the listings of its own accord, there was no communication or involvement with Cyrus’s representatives,” a spokesperson for the company told TicketNews. “This was done under eBay’s presale policy, which states that the seller must deliver the item within 30 days of purchase. In the case of the Cyrus concerts that cannot be achieved right now. There are also concerns around fulfillment of these tickets as well as buyer experience similar to our decision on keeping them off StubHub.”

Brokers and sellers have began receiving emails from eBay explaining why the listing was removed. Here is an expert from the letter:

Unfortunately, we had to remove your listing because the following information violates our policy:

Please note that eBay has strict guidelines for pre-sale listings in order to protect our members from potentially poor buying experiences. As such you must guarantee that any Pre-sale item, in this case actual paper concert tickets, will be available for shipping within 30 days from an auction’s end date.

I applaud Miley’s team for doing whatever it takes to make purchasing tickets for her tour fair. What happened two years ago was ridiculous!

eBay has said that they will re-list the tickets in mid-September.

  1. This is not a good move.Removing concert tickets is really bad.I don’t know why they are doing these things.

this so really fair how would u like to buy a ticket and get to the venue to be told you carnt get in because you dont have the card that was used to purchess the tickets. because for miley concerts u had to pay by card and produce some id, once u get yor tickets for the uk that is november , u need your card and some photo id, then to get into the concert u need ur card or id. so if you buy through an auction site then uve goy no chance.
