Elisabeth Hasselbeck asks Stanley Tucci if his DEAD WIFE had seen his movie

Oh, Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Times 100 Most Influential People In The World

On this morning’s View, I was shocked to watch as Lizzie, never known for her smarts, actually asked actor Stanley Tucci, whose wife died from cancer this year, if his DEAD WIFE had seen his movie.

Personally, I would have walked out, but Stanley, being the classy guy that he is, just said “no” and changed the subject.

Background: she died from cancer in April. He was talking about how when he first was offered the role, his wife told him not to do it. But then after being promised that they weren’t showing the rape/murder, he decided to.

Seriously, View people. Don’t you guys have background researchers? A simple Google search would have told you in SECONDS if this was an inappropriate question. I didn’t think it was possible for Elisabeth Hasselbeck to look any stupider, but she proved me wrong today, BUT GOOD.

OMG!! She is such a flaming idiot! It totally makes me mad that a moron like Elisabeth has a seat on The View. I bet they tell her she’s the “young” voice, but she’s really the “stupid” voice. Ugh, she bugs so much!!

She obviously does no research on her guests or what comes out of her mouth!! I’ve never quite figured out why she is on The View anyway, perhaps it’s because she makes everyone else look so much better!!

She called him and apologized (which she didn’t have to). He was gracious. End of story. Let’s see if that gets printed and discussed. http://twitter.com/ehasselbeck

I am not sure how you decipher “stupidity” from “misinformed”? Stupidity would mean that she knew his wife was dead, and still asked the question. Misinformed would mean she didn’t know, followed up after he brought her up, with an appropriate question. Right? If she were not dead, it would be a totally appropriate thing to ask?

So perhaps her researchers didn’t do their jobs. But it seems to me you are unnecessarily attacking someone for something they didn’t know as “stupidity”.

By the way, after the fact Elisabeth called Stanley personally and apologized, she was mortified, and he was a gentleman.

Do you really think she knew?

Seriously? It’s not the hosts job to do their own research. It was an honest mistake that now allows you to try to take a cheap shot. Get a life!

Well she wouldn’t be on the View unless she brought in some viewers. If you followed her on twitter you would know she called Mr. Tucci and apologized. Everyone makes mistakes and I’m tired of everyone jumping down the celebs throats. Let me follow you around all day and see if something dumb comes out of your mouth.

Wow, the Elisabeth apologists are showing up now. Look, if you go on TV to interview someone, and haven’t even done enough reading to know such a basic fact, you are setting yourself up for this kind of embarrassment.

    And yes, that is stupid.

Doesn’t everyone make mistakes? I’m sure she was devistated over it. I didn’t even know it watching it that his wife sadly has passed… No one is perfect…Honest mistake…If he can forgive her…so can we…
