Elisabeth hasn't changed her tune about anything, she is still attacking Obama and acting her usual childish self. She was complaining he was using the President Elect seal during his news conferences, something he allowed to do.

Too bad Bush couldn't swing a third term. OR, if you want somebody OLDER, or MORE corrupt, maybe the Republicans could reach over to the other SIDE, and recruit Nixon. Sure, there have been some SWELL Republican Presidents; the one you mentioned for instance. Abraham Lincoln, who WAS an actual Republican, and was a wonderful president. HOW long ago WAS that? Do you even know that he was our 16th president, and now we are on our 44th? I wonder what HE would think of this mess we are in, thanks to the 43rd, or for that matter, what he would think about how long the slaves he freed, and their descendants, suffered continued horrendous mistreatment, not to mention a sad lack of educational opportunities for so many years, and that only NOW when we are on the verge of doom, have we managed to make an intelligent, well educated, thoughtful, eloquent, HALF-black man our president. I don't think when he freed the slaves, what black people have gone through to achieve this milestone, is what he had in mind.

Umm, not done yet, Mr. Ringbloom. How does it make you feel, that those same Wall Street Bankers who were in such dire financial straits, (due to their own greed and stupidity) have taken a half million of the dollars, (taxpayer dollars) that they were just given to rescue them from their own folly, to throw themselves another ill-disguised party/vacation? It makes ME SICK. Whining? Crying? At least THAT is something to whine and cry ABOUT. So if you don't mind that money being spent for Republican supported frivolity, SURELY you have no objections to directing SOME of it toward creating, maintaining, or regaining jobs, and preventing the homelessness of us cry-babies, that these financial wizards have brought us to, with their brilliant schemes. It is a wonder, that the Rebublican GUYS and GALS (your words) have any followers left, since they can't even scrounge up a viable leader at this point. Maybe the 84 year old Republican convicted felon from Alaska would be a good choice, or Politician Barbie.

RE: Chad Ringbloom, Hmmm. You ARE kidding, right? Do YOU know that Africa is a continent? Your response did nothing to alter my view that Republicans are fond of REwriting history to suit themselves. Martin Luther King Jr. was most certainly NOT a Republican. He was not affiliated with ANY political party, but because of his moral convictions and ideals, was often considered a Socialist by many. In fact, J. Edgar Hoover called him a Communist. Curious, that there are those trying to impose a Socialist label on President-elect Barack Obama. Sounds like the Rebublicans are the ones suffering from sour grapes to me. The way they say the word Liberal, makes it sound like a dirty word. Somehow ingrained in their collective psyche, the notion that ALL Democrats are automatically Socialists, is an insult to a thinking man's intelligence. Where is your indignation at bailing out Wall Street Bankers? To continue giving to the rich at the expense of the poor, is nothing but an evil perversion of Socialism.

As far as rewriting history goes, socialism has never worked, yet democrats seem to continue pushing this agenda year after year, like it is a new and fresh idea. Let's not forget that Abraham Lincoln, who freed the slaves, Martin Luther King Jr., the man mainly responsible for the civil rights movement's successes, and Susan B. Anthony, the woman that fought for women's suffrage(the right for women to vote), were all republicans. Unfortunately, the democrats were able to capitalize on the average man's tendency to be lazy and attract many of these new voters to their party, by offering them free money amongst other promises that cannot possibly be kept. All this does is cause more laziness, creating more dependence to the democratic party, which feeds their agenda and quenches their thirst for power.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck changed her tune to supporting Obama, not because she suddenly realized that Americans need something that only Barack Obama can give. She changed her tune because she loves this country, and though she didn't vote for him, she hopes he is a successful president, as it is in the best interests of all Americans our president is successful. We as Americans have a duty to support our leaders, to aplaud when they do right by us, and to be the loud voice of opposition when they don't act in the best interests of this country. This is the fundemental difference between liberals and conservatives, liberals cry and whine when they don't exactly get their way, choose to riot in protest or cry foul when their horse doesn't win, and hope the winner of the election that they didn't vote for fails. Conservatives think realistically, and hope for the best, even if the guy or gal they didn't vote for is elected. I voted for McCain, but hope Obama is a good president. Liberals should feel the same at some point when your future candidate loses, though I doubt any of you will.

Oh brother! I missed this, as I got tired of hearing her moronic opinions, and quit watching the View. I DO hope it will be shown again in a rerun though, because I would pay big bucks to see hypocrisy of this magnitude! Rewriting history seems to be a particular talent of right-wingers. If she is going to take maternity leave, I will start watching again.
