Elisabeth Hasselbeck called in to harrass Fran Drescher, who was a guest on Larry King Live which was being hosted by Joy Behar (Larry was off for the night). Fran had said that she didn’t understand why Elisabeth started crying on The View the other day when they were discussing the use of the “n” word so Ms. Hasselbeck called into the show to confront Fran. Of course, Joy seemed sympathetic to her View co-host. Elisabeth had dominated the call and then Fran got basically five seconds to say something and Joy stopped her and told her to let Elisabeth respond. Hardly seemed fair. Watch the exchange:

i feel everyone tries to cut Elisabeth off on the view. I know she is younger than the other women, but is is knowledgeable. The reason she cried on the show was she is so tired of people running other people down about their nationality and then some one do it and it is wrong.
at first, I thought why would Elisabeth cry? Then as I continue to observe her she lack any means of sincerity. She only cried because “Whoopi” held the floor and would allow Elisabeth too speak. Usually Elisabeth over talks everyone. She always express… I can’t say anything. That was the phoniest I ever observer Elisabeth in all episodes of the View.
The speaker of the House shut her up!!! A surge Elisabeth has and always is a timetable. Not the security. Did you not understand our President what the word Surge meant?
I don’t like anyone of the president candidates. But, the way Elisabeth speak of the democrats…it’s as if she hates them really!!!
It seems since Sherri came onto the view, it has gotten worse. She seems to side with Whoopi most the time and acts as if she is really something.
I’m the opposite, It seems as if Whoopi thinks Sherri is a no talent. Sometimes when Sherri makes a comment Whoopi gives her that please shut up look! Watch her sometimes. Sherri is really bad on the show.
Calls Fran out (for wondering why she was crying) and accused her of wasting no time in cutting another woman down.

this may be late in getting this mail out,but I dont watch the VIEW anymore due to all the big mouths and favoritism! ESPECIALLY now with the election going on. IT IS SUPERBLY clear, everyone BUT Elizabeth is a democrat or an Obama lover at least, and she is clearly a rep.
that tries to speak her mind and she gets shut down quite often, mostly from Whoopi and Joy who I think have the loudest mouths of all!
Since Sherri joined she seems to upset the basket the most and the others chime in. Since losing her weight(yay for healthy) she is all chest and is hard to watch, because all you see is chest and her legs in her too short dresses for
tv. C’mon, ladies- you can look good for tv but still cover your self up! NO ONE wants to see cleavage anymore or thighs when the clothes are too short! Kind of like sitting in the front row of church and you are flashing the preacher!

her panel as is and any up coming changes. Getting rid of Rosie was a good start! Whoopi, I have mixed votes about! When the view comes on, I go to the food net work channel!

I stopped watching the View a long time ago. Let Whoopi say the N word all she wants. Joy is just stupid and says things just to make Elisabeth mad. It has become a joke not a talk show. I wish Elisabeth would join the Fox network.
I just think that Elizabeth is and has always been a bigot. The problem is that now that there is a strong possiblity that a biracial man may be president has sent her “over the edge.” They will probably need to have a shrink on standby if he wins.
Still, I do think the show needs a person who is unafraid to express differing opinions. That is more reflective of the nature of women in general. I just think in hindsight, Barbara may need to pick a person who isn’t a racist at heart.
I think that whole show is full of hypocritical left wing nut case women except for Hasselbeck. Ironic how women want to crack the glass ceiling and now have a chance with Palin but Oh no can’t have that because she is a conservative. What we really mean is a woman so long as she is a far left wing liberal nut case that thinks like we do, then its ok.
The View has a socialistic attitude predicated upon far left wing view points that according to them Obama has all the experience required to lead the country and make change. Change? Would someone on the View, any of you please tell me one specific thing he is going to change and how he is going to do it?
The women on the View are seriously naive when they think Obama is only going to raise taxes on the top 5% of the country and the other 95% will get a tax break. Besides, that sure is a brilliant move. The top 5% create the jobs for the other 95% so yeah, that makes sense go ahead and tax them.
I have never heard the women from the View once complain about how a democratic Congress pushed to ensure Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac gave lower income people home loans knowing they could not afford them in the long term and then Congress turns around and blames Wall Street, Huh. Seriously, are you women educated? and there is no pun intended in that question?
Also, had McCain been involved with Ayers and Pastor Wright to the same extent Obama was then Walters would not be sitting there saying “With all the issues going on why are we still going with smear campaigns” No, she would sit right there along with CBS, NBC, MSNBC, and ABC and would have blasted McCain to the point where he may have dropped out. That points to the hypocrisy right there of the View.
The View is nothing more than 3 hypocritical women that are so far left they are all running around saying “Happy Holidays” but when they were younger all said “Merry Christmas” until they grew up and started to listen to the ideological ideas of the left coast which is nothing more than spin to justify their collective way of thinking.
I seriously do not understand how you women sleep at night. I said women and not ladies because none of you act like Ladies except for Elizabeth.
By the way, I am middle of the road so that knocks you assumption about me being some right wing nut case off the shelf. Yeah, hard to believe that someone middle of the road could make comments like this. Maybe it would help your show if you did not seem as left wing biased as you are.
I would imagine at the end of the day all that matters to any of you is where this show is within the ratings. Apparrently none of you seem to have any moral judgement on your comments which alos means it does not matter how much top nothc make up you put on because most of your consistent left wing comments make all of you ugly.
I think they should all be FIRED and put on a better program in this spot.

I stopped watching this show a long time the women are way way far left wing including Barbara .It is only Elizabeth who makes sense.She is the youngest in the group but who I believe is the only role model ,she has moral values who young americans can look up too,not these ugly ducklings just quacking up.In my opinion she is better off without them.

In the Senate for 26 years and no changes made what was he the seat warmer. Just because you don’t like Obama – that does not make you a racist. Other than that, there is nothing to suggest that Elizabeth is a racist. I don’t know if I agree with her all the time, but I don’t believe that is correct. Renee sounds like someone who may have racial views, and to make fun of a former POW is disgraceful.
All these ladies need to come to an understanding of common belief. Elisabeth needs to watch what see says. NO she is not the voice for republicans, women or for her own selfishness. Why do people think Elizabeth is racist? I’m not sure I understand. I mean, I don’t watch the View all the time but I’ve seen it enough times to conclude that she doesnt seem to be racist. Is it because we have a presidential candidate that is black and she doesnt support him? Is everyone who votes for McCain or is Republican then a racist? And to Renee, I think its pretty weak to say that Obama deserves to be President because “this country has been ran by white men..Let someone else get the chance”. Are you kidding me? I’m not sure if I believe Elisabeth is a racist or not. But I do believe that she is very closed minded. I haven’t watched the view for a very long time because for the most part Barbara Walters is a hypocrite and the show has taken a serious down turn in the last few years. Someone had the nerve to mention Rev. Wright and Ayers is a previous comment. Has anyone checked into Palin’s witchdoctor?! Yes, her minister, pastor, or whatever he is believes in witches and exposing them and doing whatever to them like he’s heading up the Salem Witch Trials all over again! And why doesn’t somebody call McCain out on the openly bigoted senators that he’s served with and supported within his own party?! McCain has even gone so far as to lie about his POW experience. This man was rescued and nursed back to health by the very people he claimed beat him and broke his arms. I bet he didn’t count on them resurfacing with photographic evidence and several living witnesses. How do you become friends and teach english to someone who is supposed to be your captor and his beating you?! And all he can say is “I don’t remember it like that.” We all need to open our eyes and pray for God to guide our hearts on election day. Neither candidate is perfect and we will never have a perfect candidate unless Jesus himself comes back and runs. But we do need to be honest with ourselves and be insulted that the republican party thinks that this nation is dumb enough to believe that McCain-Palin will actually pull this country out of this tragedy that we are in right now.
I feel like everyone on “The View” except for Elisabeth are so off the chart left wing radicals that their “Views” are just asinine. I do not think Elizabeth is a racist, I just think she is a Republican and believes in the Republican platform. It is sad that a nation that was founded on Christian values has moved so far left that the values have flown out the window. It is like no one wants to stand up for the things that are morally right because they are so afraid that they are not politically correct and might offend some one. Elisabeth, I believe, follows a strong moral compass and has a belief system that I wish other members of “The View” would adhere to.
I think everything Elisabeth says is drivel and I stopped watching the show because of her. She stay home and be a mom, thats where here skills end in my book.
I watch the view only to see some good in Elizabeth. I watch her expressions when she speaks of Obama, and I wonder what he did to her. I understand that she is passionate about her Presidental pick but I have not heard her say that she has any issues with McCain and I find that to be ignorant on her part. I want to stop short of calling her a racist but I’m sure she has not been expose to people of color. She’s out of touch with the middle class issues. She seems disingenuous.

I love to watch the View. I do not like the fact that the women talk over each other, but I like that they are passionate about what they believe in. I think Joy is the fartherest left. I get the since that Whoopi and Barbara closer to the center. I feel Sherri can be swayed. Elisabeth makes very bad arguments and the fact that the other ladies discuss her premise doesn’t make them hypocritical left nut cases. She makes very bad arguments. So does Sherri and they correct her on it. Elisabeth hasn’t made any critical comments re: McCain or Palin and they is ridiculous. Like they haven’t done or said everything wrong. The others have criticized the left and Elisabeth hasn’t criticized the right. The show would go much better if they would defend there point of view without disrespecting the others point of view – which Hasselbeck does more than the others. I know I watch the show everyday. I like to observe people and their interactions.

This presidential election has nothing to do w/race. America is ready for a biracia man or any race just as long as they have the experience and knowledge of what it takes to be the President of the U.S. Elizabeth did nothing wrong by expressing her opinions and there are truths that Americans must know about each candidates good or bad. If we don’t know about a person’s past & their associations, how can we move forward to a better future not knowing if they will go back to those people they associated with in the past who hates America.
There are too many people who are not open minded to see it from both sides/parties. Both democrats & repubicans need to come together & help make our economy stronger. Obama doesn’t not have the experience & understanding of what it takes to become president. Taxing corporate america will only cause a trickle effect to the american people. Not saying they can’t afford higher taxes but they do have their shareholders to consider. Who do you think they will pass on the higher cost of goods & services too? It’s to consumers like us. If Obama increase the corporate tax, businesses will continue to take their companies overseas & there will be more job losses in america. Think about it logically. It’s not about having the first black president, it’s about who really cares about the people in the US & who can really lead us to a better future. Increasing government power is not the answer.

For the first time in my life, I have questioned myself about racism. I wonder if I am a racist because I don’t embrace Obama. But I look at his associations and choices and I just cannot accept voting for a man that keeps reinventing his past and the people his former associations. If McCain had a past like Obama, I would be just as outraged and unaccepting of his responses.
I research everything that I hear. The most recent accusations about McCain and his X. He was a prisoner of war and she had a horrific accident but spending 5 years apart takes a tremendous toll on a marriage. Unfair. I didn’t want to vote for Kerry in ‘04 and I don’t want to vote for McCain or Obama.
With all the brilliant economists, intellecutuals, politicians, philosophers…, why do we get stuck with the candidates that have been running for president? I don’t want a minister! I don’t want a general! I don’t want either of my grandparents who have morals and true character.

In my opinion, Elizabeth has strong Christian values and I applaud her for letting it be known! On the other hand, Elizabeth I think your values are wasted on this show. When it comes to T.V. in general it is not very well accepted. Maybe, when this election is over, the conversations won’t get so heated! Elizabeth I can say that you can’t do any grand-standing on this show and expect to survive it! Just ask Rosie!

It was really interesting to read all these opinions. I used to be a big fan of the view, but I quit watching it due to the rudness of all 4 women to each other. All the shouting over each other, you couldn’t even hear what they were saying. They need Meridith back to bring some sanity to this show. The main reason I quit watching was the way the OBama’s were treated and the McCains were treated. OBama was told how handsome he was, and McCain was verbally attacked. I thought it was disgraceful, especially for Walters, who showed her true colors. I always thought she was a good journalist? By the way, I am an undecided independent, but I do believe everyone on the show should be treated with the same respect
I am beginning to think that Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Sherri Shepherd and Sarah Palin are the true representations of American women and their female “opinion” :narcissistically disordered histrionic uneducted, rude who use verbal abuse as a way to make their points. They are still on air, obviously curry favor with an audience, so one can only surmise that these women represent your voice female America.
