The “Hot Topics” segment on The View has just become about the U.S. presidential election but I guess I understand since it is the “hottest topic” probably in the world right now (I’m not saying it’s the most important topic but it is likely the most talked about).
I found it interesting that Joy Behar pointed out that, although we refer to Democratic nominee, Barack Obama, as a “black man,” his grandmother (who is currently quite ill) is a “white woman.” She wanted to remind everyone that he is still half-white but Whoopi Goldberg explained that, regardless of his genetic composition, people are always going to see him as “black.” As a bi-racial person, I can agree with her. I have never had anyone approach me to ask if I was “half white” but I’ve had plenty of people ask what ethnicity I belong to.
Naturally, Elisabeth Hasselbeck took the opportunity to bring up all of the things she dislikes about Obama. She changed the subject, yet again, and it’s kind of ridiculous that she continues to hijack the show…

Enough is Enough..Elisabeth should go.The show was interesting before but listening to her on the old man is ridiculous.If I was her I wouldn`t be too proud that she is going to introduce PALIN in florida..one bimbo to another.What PALIN stands for is taking away womans rights and throwing them back to the ice age.First of all she doesn`t live with these people so she can`t give opinions on wether Palins kid is in love..that is bull..the kid is being made to have ababy she doesn`t want .Where was Palin when her daughter was having sex ..certainly not at home..One thing Elisabeth you know nothing about OBAMA .MCCAIN thinks because he was a vet he knows all..that is bull..WEARING YOUR SHIRT AND MAKING A STATEMENT THAT YOUR ARE A STUPID PERSON..You should have taken time off the show and gone out to campaign..if you love mccain so much..or you should get it on with Palin..it seems your so in love with them..TOO BAD BARBARA DOESN`T FIRE YOU..
