Elizabeth Edwards is scheduled to appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show on May 7, 2009 and I’m really looking forward to it. I have already double-
checked my timer to make sure it will record and I only found out about it this morning!
In case the name isn’t ringing a bell, Elizabeth is the wife of John Edwards, who campaigned as a vice-presidential candidate alongside John Kerry back in 2004 and then attempted to win the Democratic ballot in the election that was eventually won by Barack Obama.
As if that wasn’t enough of a story, Elizabeth was diagnosed with an incurable form of cancer and her husband admitted to having an affair just days after announcing his candidacy.
She has a book called Resilience coming out on May 12, 2009 and, from what I’ve heard, she will be talking about everything. I can’t imagine how she manages to go on with her life. I cannot wait to hear what she has to say!
