Well, all the dog drama much have gotten to Ellen DeGeneres because she canceled the taping of her show yesterday.
All week, Ellen has been emotional about a dog named Iggy that she adopted but, after learning he was not getting along with her cats, was given to her hairdresser and their family. The dog was later taken from the family by the animal rescue organization who stated that Ellen broke the rules by not telling them that she was giving the dog away.
The show issued this statement: “Ellen is taking a long weekend and will be back with a new show on Tuesday.”
We’re told that Ellen’s producers asked country crooner Keith Urban — who was previously scheduled to appear on the show — to perform for audience members who had already arrived for the taping, not knowing it was canceled.
Wow!!! This thing is really spiraling out of control. I hope the long weekend does Ellen some good and things can get back to normal.
