Ellen Pompeo, Katherine Heigl Nominated for LA Times GoldDerby TV Award

phlphotos169976-Ellen-Pompeo5410Both Ellen Pompeo and Katherine Heigl have been nominated for a 2009 GoldDerby TV Award. What’s a GoldDerby TV Award? Essentially, it’s an award that’s voted on by readers of The Los Angeles Times’ Tom O’Neill’s Gold Derby blog.

While not quite as fancy as an Emmy, these kinds of awards are great for showing support and for giving fans a chance to recognize their favorite actors’ hard work.

Interestingly, Grey’s Anatomy didn’t make the Drama Series category, and neither did any of the Grey’s males in the actors categories. Though Kyle Chandler did make the list for Friday Night Lights and that’s almost close enough.
