Elliott Yamin Continues Fight Against Diabetes

With so many Hollywood figures doing the “wrong thing” these days, it’s refreshing to see someone’s continued dedication to a worthy cause:

Congressman Eric Cantor (VA-07) will join recording artist and American Idol finalist Elliott Yamin to kick off the “Promise to Remember Me Campaign,” Wednesday, August 1, 2007, at 11 a.m., on the Cannon House Office Building Terrace in Washington, DC.

The “Promise to Remember Me Campaign” aims to get hundreds of families together with their legislators across the country in the next 10 months to discuss funding for Juvenile Diabetes research; Yamin is the campaign’s celebrity spokesperson. Cantor is a sponsor of HR. 2762, a bill that reauthorizes the Special Diabetes Program, which coordinates the efforts of research scientists to find a cure for juvenile diabetes.

I love Elliott!!!

I love to see the Idols working for others. Constantine received an award for Artist-Humanitarian of the Year recently because of his behind-the-scenes work with Autism Speaks and Make-A-Wish. I know that Clay also does charity work.
Kudos to the Idols who give back!!
