I typically don’t report on news that involves someone saying something nasty about Lindsay. Let’s face it, people like to pick on her. Lindsay knows this and talked at length about her frustration with it in her Interview Magazine feature.
Emma Roberts, star of the new Paramount Pictures movie Hotel for Dogs, was recently interviewed by MovieHole. And in that interview said less-than-nice things about Lindsay Lohan.
Emma Roberts was asked a question about the difficulties she faces in making the transition from adolescence to adulthood. In response, Emma talks about how many actors have messed up the child-to-adult-actor transition.
“So many people just mess it up, and they do things that are so outrageous. And it’s like – the whole point is, like, Anne Hathaway. The fact that she was in Princess Diaries, like, you’d never think about that. Whereas, like, Lindsay Lohan, you still know that she was in Freaky Friday and The Parent Trap, and it’s hard to take her seriously.”
Emma notes that though Hathaway starred in a Disney movie, very few people know that and it hasn’t affected her ability to land leading roles and be nominated for awards.
So, to untangle the mess of Emma’s thoughts, it’s like she’s saying that Lindsay was almost too successful as a child actor. Has that, in combination with a rough transition living the Hollywood life (a bad 6 month period Lindsay admits to regretting), stopped Lindsay from getting the same caliber roles as Anne Hathaway? Or were Lindsay’s ‘breakout’ roles simply overlooked (Georgia Rule, Prairie Home Companion, Bobby)?
I’d also like to point out that Anne worked on The Princess Diaries and its sequel as her only Disney movies and she did so at the age of 19+. She never was a child actor in Disney movies or in any other movies. Which perhaps makes a difference and perhaps does not. What do you think?

First of all she needs to cut off the ‘like’ s if she wants anyone in this world to take her seriously.
Second, she owes all her ‘fame’ to her aunt (or however they’re related) Julia Roberts, so she shouldn’t talk shit about the people who didn’t have a superstar in their family to intrudice them to directors.

Well, since you asked, I do think it looks like Lindsay has peaked early. I don’t think any of her later movies have touched the success of her earlier ones. The press still refer to her as “the Mean Girls star,” fergoshsakes.
I do think she has talent and think she could do something exemplary. She just has yet to do so.
Part of her problem may be that she needs to develop a better nose for scripts, or her agent does, at any rate. He last couple films has seriously flawed scripts which is probably why those movies did so poorly. They can blame Lindsay’s behavior all they want. But I’ve seen I Know Who Killed Me, Georgia Rule, I fast forwarded to her scenes in Chapter 23 and got as far as when her character finally showed up in Bobby, but couldn’t watch anymore after that.
These movies were simply not very good, plain and simple. She can do much better and I expect better from her.
I suggest she go to school and study screenwriting for a bit. It’s hard to choose a decent script if you don’t know how to put one together in the first place. She should do that and then take a more active role in choosing the films she takes. With a good script, she can show her acting chops and earn some of that respect she deserves.
Just my take.

Emma Roberts is no Lindsay Lohan or Julia Roberts. Her acting abilities are shall we say limited. It was unkind of her to talk about Lohan this way. And BTW Anne Hathaway–as far as I know–has always been extremely gracious when asked about Lohan, even calling her “sweet Lindsay” in some interview recently.
well theres not much to say all i can say is wow emma she is really mean i thought she was a nice person but i think i was wrong just because lindsay has made a few mistakes in her life dosent mean you can say bad things about her emma i use to be a fan of yours but im not anymore people hate it when other celebritys of lindsay its just mean emma no one is gunna like you after saying mean thinga about lindsay no one likes seeing lindsay upset or hurt or sad all because of someone blabbing there mouth off like you did how would you like it people were saying bad things about you wouldnt so why bitch about lindsay everyone dose mistakes no one is perfect not even you your only famous cos of your aunty julia roberts you wouldnt be no where with you her lets just to say your a nobody wanna be you have just lost a fan i wonder how many others you have lost by slagging lindsay off.
