Hermione won’t be taking off her clothes (everyone breathes a collective sigh of relief) like our friend Daniel Radcliffe in Equus, but it still sounds like a very meaty role for her:
‘Harry Potter’ actress Emma Watson is set to follow co-star Daniel Radcliffe by appearing in a more adult role.
Emma Watson, 16 – who plays Hermione Granger in the wizard movies – has been lined up to star as a rebellious ringleader in a new St Trinian’s movie.
Daniel Radcliffe has shocked theatre fans by stripping off for his stage debut in ‘Equus’ – but Emma will be keeping her clothes on for her first venture outside Hogwarts.
A source said: "Emma has agreed in principle to star, pending final approval of the script, which is still undergoing re-writes. She thinks it will be a lot of fun and a good stepping stone away from the world of Harry Potter."
Emma will star alongside Rupert Everett – who will take on the role of cross-dressing headmistress Millicent Fritton.
Emma is no stranger to girls’ boarding schools – she attends the single-sex Headington School in Oxford, England.
