In honor of dads everywhere (even Jessica and Ashlee’s dad, Papa Joe Simpson), I thought it might be nice to do another giveaway.
I’ve a nice little book called My Dad, My Hero to give to one lucky Jess and Ashlee reader. The book is a short collection of quotes for dads, and makes a lovely gift for Father’s Day.

The best thing a dad can do for their kids is to teach them how to “take the tough road.” There are few fathers these days who can guide their children through a difficult time with a good amount of useful advice. We need dads who can show their kids how to become better people, and better parents.
The best thing a dad can do for his kids is show them how to love life. Every Sunday night, the father of our home turns on America’s Funniest Home videos and laughs his way through them. There’s popcorn and apples with lots of fun – and I know these are ways to be present with family and make memories from the little things. It’s instilling the love of life for three young kiddos!

I believe that the best thing a father can do for his kids is to just be around for them and spend time with them. I remember all of the fun times I had as a child with my dad. I don’t remember which birthday presents or Christmas presents I received from him, I remember the times we spent together.
Be there for their kids – simple as that!
